St Lawrence Church

St Lawrence Church

St. Lawrence Church is nestled within a group of parishes that includes Blockley and Paxford.  The Grade 1 listed building dates back to 1157AD and has seen regular alteration and extension since then, including the addition of a much needed toilet in 2023.

A church with a short tower is seen against a clear blue sky. Grave stones are positioned in front of it, with mown grass around them. Thanks to the efforts of a small group of volunteers from the congregation and beyond, the church is open to visitors every day from around 9.00 am to 5.00 pm during daylight hours, offering a serene haven for quiet reflection and prayer. You are also invited to wander through the peaceful churchyard and gardens.

The main Sunday Service is usually a service of Holy Communion with Common Worship liturgy, starting at 11:15am, except on the first Sunday of the month when a service of Evensong is held at 6pm.

For further information about the church and its work or to find out about baptisms, weddings and funerals, please visit the St Lawrence website or make contact directly.
