Adrian Chandler

Adrian has lived in the centre of Bourton-on-the-Hill since 2019, with his wife Camilla and young children, Jemima and Casper.  He is passionate about the adverse impact of antisocial traffic in the village, setting up and running the local Speedwatch team in the years before joining the Council.  He now leads the Council in matters relating to Highways and hopes that the traffic calming initiatives that are in the pipeline will improve road safety.
Adrian is a violinist and founded the ensemble La Serenissima back in 1994.  The group have toured extensively and have recorded around 25 albums, all directed by Adrian.  His recording of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons has been used for many films and adverts and has been streamed around 140 million times.  In addition to eighteenth century Italian music, Adrian’s interests include cooking, wine, walking, reading and (sadly) Everton Football Club. He was made a Cavaliere of the Order of the Star of Italy by the Italian government for services to Italian culture in 2022.
